    Thank y'all for your interest in the Grosse Pointe Public School Systems Rubber Town. Our mission is to equip our youngest learners with the tools they need to remain calm and safe during emergency situations. Your child will meet local police force and firefighters, learn tips and tools to apply in a real-life fire situation, and explore other prophylactic topics such as how to punch 911, firearms safety, torso safety sensation, learn traffic and bike rules, how to stay safe while using electricity, drug safety awareness and poisonous substance prevention, and rules for boating and water play. This one-week, fun-filled program is designed so children are encouraged to keep their surroundings rubber through hands-on activities and exercises.     Safety Town Fire Safety House

    With the assistance of our local police and fire first responders, the children volition practice escape techniques from the Fire Condom House, a two-story, child-sized house that is filled with bogus smoke to simulate an actual burn down. You can reinforce these lessons by ensuring that your home has a operation smoke detector and by creating an escape plan with your kid. We thank our local public safety officers and representatives from community organizations for their participation in our program.

    Traffic Safety

    Our Safety Boondocks miniature village is designed to resemble a customs with buildings, grass, traffic signs and lights. The children take turns riding bicycles while following basic traffic rules.

    Registration: Children entering Kindergarten - inbound 1st graders. *Y5 are non eligible.You lot do non need to be a Grosse Pointe resident to register.

     Holiday Closures: Monday July 4-July 8, 2022

    *Classes must meet minimum enrollment to operate.

    *In one case classes meet maximum capacity, the session is airtight.

     *Tuition is non-refundable/transfers are not accepted. Summer programs do not offering sibling discounts.

     *Due to high demand, the GPPSS Safety Town simply allows each kid to participate in the

        program in one case. Repeating the program is not permitted. Thank you for agreement!

          Time: 9:00-11:30 AM- All sessions meet in the forenoon

          Weekly Tuition: $130.00
